The Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary in Davao Oriental is one of only five sites in the ASEAN Region that has been designated as both UNESCO World Heritage Site and ASEAN Heritage Park. This protected area represents a complete, substantially intact and highly diverse mountain ecosystem and hosts diverse flora and fauna.

Mount Hamiguitan is highlighted in the Year of the Protected Areas (YoPA) campaign that encourages sustainable ecotourism activities to help conserve the Philippines’ protected areas.
