How To Budget Travel In The Maldives Now | Maafushi Island

Tourism to local islands is very new in the Maldives, having opened up islands like Maafushi and Fulidhoo to tourists only within the last decade. Since then, development and infrastructure has taken a noticeable hold in the otherwise very local islands.
We visited the Maldives as a spontaneous stopover on our world tour and decided to see what the difference would be with budget travel and luxury travel in the Maldives.
