Day 2 of our Havasupai adventure was easily the most physically demanding and mentally intense day of the trip. We set out on the 16-mile round-trip hike to the Confluence—the sacred point where the turquoise waters of Havasu Creek empty into the mighty Colorado River.
The journey starts with the infamous descent down Mooney Falls. Navigating the mist-covered chains and ladders is the only way to access the trail, and it wakes you up fast.
