Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is a small wildlife conservation area in the Almora District of Uttarakhand. It is about 25 km Almora. The sanctuary was established in 1988 for the conservation and protection of the shrinking broad leaf oak (Quercus) forests of the Central Himalayan region. It has over 200 bird species. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary spreads over 45.59 km. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary altitude varies from 900 to 2500 metres with an average height of 2412 metres. There is a small trek of about 2 Kms to Zero Point Binsar from where you will have magnificent view of the Himalayas.
