Best cheap travel hack to travel around Vietnam: the VIP Sleeper Bus. Upgrade over the normal sleeper bus (narrow, smelly, late, terrible, no sleep) to travel in comfort for just a few more dollars per person by VIP Sleeper Bus – like a hotel room on wheels. Full stretch out compartment, private TV, curtains, USB iphone charger, WIFI, soft pillow & blanket & so on. Great for backpackers especially.

We went from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh and it was an eye-opening experience for just $17 per person – highly recommended!
