Lake Mead Government Wash Dispersed Camping UPDATE

After being closed for over a year, Government Wash is finally back open—and we had to go check it out! After a full cleanup and overhaul the National Park Service has redesigned the space with designated dispersed camping sites, making it easier than ever to enjoy this spot responsibly.

We cruise the backroads, check out the new layout, and search for the perfect campsite. Along the way, we find one of the best views in the area, set up for the day, and cook up a solid lunch while taking in that classic desert-meets-water scenery.
