Appalachian Trail Massachusetts Section Hike Day 2, Includes Heal Lock Lace Demonstration



On the third day of our November trip, our second day in Massachusetts, a closed road in Mount Washington State Forest added a mile to our hike. We passed Guilder Pond before heading north on the Appalachian Trail, where it crosses Mt. Everett Rd. We hike 6.6 miles to the AT parking near Shay’s Rebellion Battle Site. The views along the way are amazing when you get a chance to see between the trees. A big highlight of this video is the quick demonstration of the Heal Lock Shoelace Tie, which helps prevent toenail loss by keeping the feet properly positioned in the shoe when going downhill….
