This week we explore Palo Duro Canyon State Park—aka the Grand Canyon of Texas! We spent three nights camping at Hackberry Campground, hiking iconic trails, spotting wildlife, and surviving one seriously rainy night. 🌧️
Our hikes included:
The Givens, Spicer & Lowry Trail to the Lighthouse Trail, and Paseo del Rio. Then, Upper and Lower Comanche Trails
—all accessible right from camp!
We saw everything from trail-loving lizards to curious turkeys and even a fox casually strolling by. And when the coyotes started singing in the distance? Let’s just say it was peak canyon…
