Rajnath Singh criticises statue demolition in various parts of India

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on statue demolition in India. He says “we can not justify the demolition of statues, such incidents are quite unfortunate and one must not engage into such activities as”. He also includes that the home Ministery has also given an advisory on it.

Less than 24 hours after the BJP in Tamil Nadu stoked controversy by threatening to vandalise statues of social activist and politician EV Ramasamy, a statue of ‘Periyar’ has been vandalised in Vellore.
